Crude Corn Oil

Crude Corn Oil is obtained through mechanical pressing or solvent extraction of corn germ. May undergo minimal processing, retaining some natural flavors, colors, and aromas. Crude Corn Oil contains higher levels of impurities such as free fatty acids, phospholipids, and pigments. Impurities can contribute to undesirable flavors, odors, and a shorter shelf life.

Crude corn oil can have darker color, stronger aroma and flavor compared to refined corn oil. It is less commonly used for cooking or frying due to its stronger flavor compared to refined corn oil. It is mainly used in certain culinary applications where natural flavor is desired.
